Mississippi River Collection

The Mississippi River Collection historically and aesthetically documents the cities, towns and communities along the mighty Mississippi from the headwaters to the Gulf of Mexico. Many of the finest works of art from the collection are on long-term view in the historic Musser House.

Approximately 600 items make up this collection including paintings by Frederick Oakes Sylvester, Henry Lewis, John Mix Stanley, Joachim Ferdinand Richardt, Joseph Rusling Meeker and other world-class artists.
