Artist Workshops for Kids with Miss Julie - Joan Walsh Anglund - April 5
This free class is open to kids ages 7 to 14 and their families. Please register by April 4 by calling the Muscatine Art Center at 563-263-8282.
Kids can join Miss Julie to create their own masterpieces! In these free workshops, kids can learn about the lives and works of famous artists from around the world and recreate a project in their style. Throughout the year there will be additional classes where we will learn about other cultures, celebrate different holidays, and more!
This class celebrates Joan Walsh Anglund, a beloved American poet and children's book illustrator who created and published 120 books over the course of nearly seven decades. Her work was known for observations on love, nature, family, friendship, and faith for children and adults around the world. Workshop participants will create their own illustrations based on the Anglund style and themes.
